cc-steer retrain

Retrain and (conditionally) promote one component through the model registry.

cc-steer retrain [OPTIONS]

The gate lane retrains the lexical prefilter; the watcher lane trains a LoRA on Tinker, gates it against the incumbent, and serves it locally. --register-adapter and --seed-incumbent-probs are watcher-only bootstrap paths that skip training.

Usage: cc-steer retrain [OPTIONS]

  Retrain and (conditionally) promote one component through the model
  registry.

  The gate lane retrains the lexical prefilter; the watcher lane trains a LoRA
  on Tinker, gates it against the incumbent, and serves it locally.
  ``--register-adapter`` and ``--seed-incumbent-probs`` are watcher-only
  bootstrap paths that skip training.

Options:
  --component [gate|watcher]    Which component to retrain and (conditionally)
                                promote.  [required]
  --force                       Retrain even when the component's train view
                                is unchanged.
  --fresh-epoch                 One-shot clean-slate cutover: gate the
                                candidate as if no incumbent existed. Watcher
                                — skip the incumbent-relative gate and refuse
                                only a below-chance (sentinel AUC <= 0.5)
                                candidate; a watcher-only guard refuses if any
                                registered version already has probs for the
                                current frozen frame. Gate — take the no-
                                incumbent promotion path (the gate lane has no
                                probs store, so no reuse guard applies there).
  --recipe FILE                 Watcher only: a JSON recipe overriding the
                                packaged E8-winner training defaults.
  --register-adapter DIRECTORY  Watcher only: register and promote this pre-
                                built adapter dir instead of training.
  --metadata-json FILE          Watcher registration metadata (base_model,
                                thresholds, render_version, ...).
  --seed-incumbent-probs FILE   Watcher only: seed the current incumbent's
                                frozen-eval probs from this cache JSON, then
                                exit.
  --help                        Show this message and exit.

Options

--component: CHOICE

Required. Which component to retrain and (conditionally) promote.

--force

Retrain even when the component’s train view is unchanged.

--fresh-epoch

One-shot clean-slate cutover: gate the candidate as if no incumbent existed.
